One of the things I hear most often from family, friends, and clients is that they are afraid they are going to look "awkward" or "unnatural" in front of the camera; that photos are going to appear "posed" and "unflattering"; that doing a session would end in tears and frustration. Well, they're right ... all of those things sound absolutely awful - and that's not the kind of experience I want any part in, either!
Fear not - 1. I love to laugh, and I hope you do, too! 2. candid is better than posed (though, don't think for a second that I don't spend a good deal of time positioning my couples, families, and models, in a natural way!). And 3. directing is one of my specialties, so you'll never be in the dark :-)
Check out this short video of an Engagement Session I did with Ashley + Logan - and take a look at their gorgeous wedding here - in Breeden's Orchard, just outside of Nashville. We had a lot of fun! Who doesn't love orchards at sunset, with cute vintage scooters and a couple who makes your heart melt!?
